The Clay Model

The first step in my method of producing a bronze casting is to make a model from clay.

This is usually the part that takes longest. Making the model shown here for Elaine took place over a year's time. Not all day, every day, but many hours intermittently.

And here she is finally Ready.

Next the clay model will be used to make a wax pattern.
