The Foundry

Here is the heart of the foundry: the burn-out kiln and two furnaces for melting metal.

This is the small furnace, which will melt up to twenty poinds of bronze. That is enough for casting China Doll.

The fuel I use for the burner is waste motor oil. The metal is now melting. It takes about twenty minutes for the bronze to reach pouring temperature.
